Spanish term or phrase: trimado fino
Hello. This is from a local newspaper report on a regatta held in the area (Spain).

"El flojo viento de componente sur, que nunca superó los 5 nudos y que fue cayendo y rolando a levante, obligó a las tripulaciones a concentrarse especialmente en el trimado fino y en sacarle velocidad al barco."

Going into UK nautical English.

Thanks for your help

to sail close-hauled*

Explanation:
*I'm not a sailor, so this would have to be confirmed by someone who is, but I worked for a yacht company and it seems to me that the writer is saying that they have to sail "close-hauled" most of the time, which, of course, involves fine trim. It's a question of how this would be expressed naturally in English. Examples: The 2-speed winch drum sheets from downwind- to-close-hauled in 5 seconds. The last 40cm is sheeted at. 33% speed to provide fine trim when close-hauled. ...One reason is that the trimmed mainsail gives a larger torque: The equivalent force in a freebody diagram is larger for a trimmed (close hauled) mainsail. ...

Explanation:
in the context of the piece I feel it is referring to how a yacht needs to position its sails in little wind in order to maximise speed
