Hi there, Tina. First of all, this text seems to be of geological content and not maritime. At first I thought it might be referring to the blades of a ship's propeller, "hoja" meaning a leaf or a blade (as in hoja de cuchillo), but when I read the context, I was convinced it refers to a "deep" geological probe in the shape of a screw. Such screws are being used for instance when drilling for water or oil. If you can confirm it is indeed a geological tool, I will come up with a suitable answer. Hope this helps! |
