  -> Perhaps, but not being an academic in such areas, I should clarify my point, that "ocean farming" is understandable English while "maricultural" would be understood by very few.

agree  Charles Davis: I entirely agree with you, Henry. There are many such learned words that are much more readily used in Spanish than their English cognates. "Ocean farming" is what "mariculture" is normally called.

This is more appropriate for the text which makes no mention of open ocean farming, which works on an entirely different paradigm than shoreline, estaurine farming.
