Spanish term or phrase: apochar

This verb appears in a handwritten statement of a sexual assault victim. Unfortunately, I do not know the nationality of the victim (could be Mexican or Peruvian) and the statement is full of spelling errors: "aser caso, ledesia que, ablo con, etc." such that I cannot be certain of the spelling of this verb.

After being attacked by this gentleman, she writes that "lo apoche y me pude salir". Now, it would fit perfectly into the narrative if this meant "I punched/hit him...", but since this is a legal matter, I need to be sure that this is not a slang term for a "sexual act". I realize that I may have to leave this untranslated with a translator's note.
