Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Slang / law
Spanish term or phrase: Boletazo
This comes from Ecuador. It regards a notice put into the judicial mailbox to appear for trial after the 3-day time period to appeal it was already up. Then the text says, "... es decir, se realizó el famoso BOLETAZO." (caps in the original text). Does anyone have a good English term for this word when used in this context?

Pues si vemos el email en nuestra bandeja de entrada (eso significa que ha pasado los filtros mágicos de hotmail para spam) nos ilusionamos pero ya cuando lo abrimos nos damos cuenta (si sabemos algunas cosas) de que no es verdad dicho mensaje.
