The client says that the organization was a cofounder of both of the other organizations. I think that this comes closest although in the original, I still think it ought to be in the singular... 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
Did you copy the sentence well? It seems it should read "promovido como cofundadores la X y la Y" (in which case X and Y are the direct object of ha promovido) or "se ha promovido" (in which case it is a reflexive action of the 1st organization).
