Yes, I too eventually found the definition for "caz", incl. an old bilingual dictionary that includes "mill race" as one of the possible English translations, which to me does imply the open-top nature of this type of drain.
I've found "linear drainage channel" in English, which is normally just a shallow linear trench drain covered with a grating, but also one (!) reference to "circular pipe linear drainage channel" via Google books, in the aptly named "Design of Linear Drainage Systems," (http://books.google.com/books?id=UX7cOMfK0toC&pg=4#v=onepage... including a picture that looks quite similar to these Spanish products on p. 4.
