Spanish to English translations [PRO] Sports / Fitness / Recreation / football
Spanish term or phrase:partido de preparación
"se realiza un partido de preparación entre...(2 equipos) "
Another football reference in a non-football related translation...any help much appreciated.
I am sure this is easy and 'non-pro' for anyone who knows about football.
What is the standard translation for this in English?
Many thanks to everyone for your comments. Was a toss-up in the end btwn this one and 'pre-season game' from bigedsenior - I think either one of them could be used. cheers. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
to Jorge: sorry was not clear in original description - the context is indeed football - I just wanted to make it clear that I am not translating a whole text about football, as this happens to be the 2nd question I have posted about football today.
Have realised that this is probably a 'pro' question, following some of the recent discussions in the forum about this. Not sure how to change it right now, but if anyone else wants to change it to 'pro' please feel free.
