En realidad \\\"on sight\\\" se traduce muy alegremente como \\\"a vista\\\". Y \\\"a vista\\\" viene a interpretarse como \\\"una vez vista (la vía)\\\" o \\\"después de verla\\\" deduciéndose a raíz de esta (interesada) interpretación que uno llega a pie de vía, le echa la vista a ésta (por aquí parece que da igual un minuto que pegarse un mes, da igual que uno sea miope, bizco o que use un telescopio, la cosa es echarle la vista el tiempo que sea) y ¡a trepar!
