Spanish term or phrase: al tiro
A scoring system in golf, from a newspaper article about a friendly golf tournament.

I thought it might be "stroke play" but it seems that the English term is used in Spanish:

"La competición al tiro, individual y stableford, organizada con la participación de la empresa XXX, concluyó con un rotundo éxito en cuanto a organización y participación"

Thanks for your help :)

shotgun start
Explanation:
Just a thought--sometimes golf tournaments begin with all players on the course on different holes. Play begins with the sounding of shotgun.
