I think I get the idea but am not sure how to translate "atacar con un palo abierto".
Does this mean "an open club face"??
Tentative translation:
The difficult pin placement of the green may tempt golfers to aim straight for the flag, given that most players attack the hole with xxxxxxxxxxxxx.

"A high lofted club" es un palo cuya cara tiene muchos grados de apertura (SW, PW, hierro 9). A más grados, se obtiene más altura de bola y menos distancia.
No confundir con "an open clubface" que consiste en abrir la cara del palo, de cualquier palo, tenga el loft que tenga, y cuyo resultado suele ser un vuelo de bola hacia la derecha. Se utiliza para ciertos golpes (bunker, golpes cortados etc.) |
