Bueno, me cuesta entender tu comentario, pero en el contexto (hablan de franquicias), para expresar el concepto, basta y sobra "territorio" sin más adornos.

¿Acaso Costa Rica pertenece al ámbito territorial de Estados Unidos? A lo mejor te refieres a Puerto Rico.

Gracias. Si me confundí con PR. y si territory puede ser interpretado tanto como territorio y también como ámbito territorial, así lo usaré.
Notes to answerer
Asker: no es por redundante sino por dar mayor peso al a expresión. El territory suena por ejemplo si fuera el terriotorio alemán solo en alemania, en cambio si uno dicen en el ámbito territorial de Estados Unidos esto puede incluir otros territorios pertenecientes/colabrantes con EUA, por ejemplo Costa Rica.
