Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Surveying / seismic survey
Spanish term or phrase: punto arrecifo
This is a term found in a powerpoint presentation created by a Colombian or Venezuelan company regarding a coal mining proposal. I understand they are talkting about the land that was granted and where it is located, but I get lost at the mention of "punto arrecifo" - what type of intersection point it is. The slide states the following:

" El contrato de concesión GIK-103 corresponde al área que esta bajo la jurisdicción de los municipios de chiriguana y la jagua de ibirico, cesar, con un punto arrecifo (pa) posicionado en la intersección del arroyo la aurora y la carretera Santa maría. plancha IGAC-47."

Reference: Arrecife?

Reference information:
I don't know the answer to this question, but I don't think it can have anything to do with Arrecife (or Los Arrecifes: same place?) in the departamento of Arauca. That seems inherently very implausible anyway, since it is many miles away from the rest of the area described. In addition, the "punto arrecifo (pa) posicionado en la intersección del arroyo la aurora y la carretera Santa maría. plancha IGAC-47" must also be in the vicinity of Chiriguaná in César, because the map reference, IGAC-47, is of that area. You can see this plancha 47 of the IGAC, a local 1:100000 geological map, at http://www.ingeominas.gov.co/component/option,com_docman/tas...

There is a "Caserío La Aurora" just north of Chiriguaná, and the is an arroyo in the vicinity that crosses Route 45, which runs North-South, but I can't see anything on the map to help interpret "punto arrecifo".
