Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Surveying / Employee comments in questionnaire
Spanish term or phrase: la gente se pasa llevar
This expression occurs in a paragraph that reads, "No me siento satisfecho. Los roles en mi trabajo no están bien definidos, _La gente se pasa llevar._" The meaning of the expression has me completely stumped. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Additional info.: The survey was filled out in Chile.

Explanation:
I think it's not well-formulated, too. I think that "llevar" has nothing to do there. There's the expression "pasar de + inf" that, according to the RAE dictionary, means that somebody doesn't show interest at all in something/somebody, even despise it: "pasar de trabajar."

"Se pasa llevar" means some kind of transition to one state/person from another. The idea here is that people are letting things slide.

Hi Cynthia. I think the correct expression should be "pasar a llevar", and according to the discussion in the link below it could mean -depending on context- "no saber defender tus derechos", "dejar que otros te pasen por encima", "pasar por alto".
