En particular, conjuntamente con la formaciOn Todos Santos y generalmente subyacentes a la Formacion Atima, existe una formaciOn potente de andesitas porfiridicas con tobas y brechas asociadas que se han denominado rocas volcanicas "tipo Manto" (TM) del nombre de la localidad en el departamento de Olancho, donde se encuentran major representadas.

Explanation:
As the ST indicates, this term is not derived from the earth's mantle (manto terrestre) but from the name of the town of Manto in Honduras. The rocks are known as the Manto formation in English:

"Manto Formation
Separating the Atima formation into upper and lower units are the Aptian- to Albian-age volcanic rocks of the Manto Formation [...]
We define the Manto Formation as a calc-alkalic volcanic complex of intermediate flows, dacitic pyroclastic flows and falls, and basaltic flows of Aptian-Albian age. The formation is named for the for the well-exposed volcanic sections near the town of Manto (Fig. 4."
