primary aluminum Explanation: Careful with raw aluminum - although that is apparently acceptable - lots of Internet hits! BUUUTTTTTT primary aluminum is a bigger hitter, methinks. Check with your client perhaps? Careful with your spelling, there's an (Atlantic) ocean of difference here between aluminum (AmE), aluminium (BrE) I hope this helps, Phil Reference: http://www.aluminum.org/ Reference: http://www.amm.com/ref/alucap.htm |

Raw or pure aluminum Explanation: I don't know if there is a more correct, technical term, but it seems to mean that it is strictly aluminum and not some composite. Hope this helps. |

Untreated aluminum or raw aluminum Explanation: I've seen more of the first than the second term. However, perhaps your client prefers one to the other. Buena suerte! |

I prefer the term untreated aluminum. Explanation: It is undoubted that it refers to aluminum that has not been exposed to any kind of process. It is advisable to check with the client the context where this term is used. Good luck! The Oxford Spanish Dictionary The Routledge Technical Dictionary |

crude aluminum Explanation: Others have suggested raw, pure, untreated, but I think crude provides a better descriptor in this case (IMHO). [Metal structure with closures made of crude aluminum and wood ...] Reference: http://www.brazil.org.uk/table2.html |
