hot-galvanized by zinc plating Explanation: I found "zincado galvanizado en caliente", but not "zincado en caliente". Zincado can be "Zinc plate", "Zincate", or "Zinc plating" (look at http://www.cepis.org.pe/eswww/fulltext/epa/minimeta/minica02... and galvanizado en caliente is "hot-galvanized". From http://www.imsaramset.com/trubolt.htm : "Disponible en acero inoxidable, acero al carbon, zincado y acero galvanizado en caliente." On the website of the company Trategal, dedicated to Tratamientos Termicos Galvanicos (http://www.aprim.com/aprim/trategal/) I found the following phrase which might help you. "Se amplian sus instalaciones con CINCO HORNOS mas, pero electricos y con los tratamientos galvanicos formados por una MAQUINA AUTOMATICA DE ZINCAR que se carga por bastidores, una MAQUINA AUTOMATICA DE FOSFATAR y dos BOMBOS ROTATIVOS DE ZINCAR." So "zincar" is a form of "galvanizar", by plating with zinc, but it is not equivalent to galvanizar.
