carrier Explanation: portador = carrier (you\'re right) buscapersona = beeper would be all right. Does this sentence use it as a synonym of pager? radiodifusión sonora = no idea either. How is the whole sentence? televisión radiodifundida = air television as opposed to cable TV Hope this helps, at least a little :) |

See below Explanation: portador: "carrier" relates to to company which provides the transmission service. buscapersona: "pager" I would use pager rather than beeper, bucause beeper refers to the numerical devices widely used back in the 80's, and not the newer alphanumerical ones. radiodifusión sonora: "line broadcasting", it can be used "sound broadcasting" and "wire broadcasting" also, but remember to remark that you are talking about sound. I would use "sound line broadcasting" the first time an then "line broadcasting" the subsequent times, because the latter is the stantard translation. televisión radiodifundida:"broadcasted tv", or "broadcasted television". Hope it helps, Salvador |
