La traducción que he encontrado de "bornes" en inglés es terminal. ¿Cómo traduciríais "terminal" entonces en esta frase?

En México entendemos bornes por los postes de corriente de una batería de automóvil. Efectivamente esos bornes son terminales de contacto. Para darle sentido a tu frase en Inglés sólo se me ocurre decir que las terminales deben tener un conector...

Creo que en tu caso están hablando de la conexión a masa/tierra.
