They are referring to the Engine house which is "subterranea, encaverna, excavada en roca dioritica"
As a sculptress, I know the mineral is called diorite; however, looking for "diorítico" as an adjective, I only came across "pórfido diorítico=diorite porphyry". The adjective diorítico is listed as "diorite". See ref.

diorite=a granular igneous rock consisting essentially of plagioclase feldspar and hornblende, adj.=dioritic (Webster's)
diorite=a plutonic igneous rock composed essentially of sodic plagioclase (usually andesine) and hornblende, biotite, or pyroxene. Small amounts of quartz and orthoclase may be present. (Dict.Mining...)
