Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering | | Spanish term or phrase: Telematica | Im translating a series of school records from Spain. One of the courses listed is called fundamentos de telematica. I cant find telematica in any of my dictionaries, including Robbs Engineering Dictionary. Also, Titulo de Bachiller in Spain, is it a high school diploma (which I suspect it is) or is it a college degree?
Thanks to the great community of translators out there who are always ready and willing to help! |

2 hrs Telematics
Explanation: The term "telematics" (accepted and used by the European Parliament and other Euro-institutions, although not yet included by any major dictionary) comes from the French "télematique" and the concept includes, in addition to data processing, all areas involved in remote data transmission/communications/telephony (Internet, BBS's, FTP, cellular phone technology, etc.).
As for the "título de bachiller", you've already got an appropriate reply.
