Spanish term or phrase: timbreado
pruebas de timbreado y aislamiento (electric cable specifications)
Please watch it!!! Insulation and continuity tests
Aislamiento is insulation, of course. Timbreado has nothing to do with temperature!!!!!! Timbreado is a continuity test in which you test the continuity of a pair of wires by closing one side of the circuit and "ringing", i.e either connecting a bell on the other side and listening for the ring, or you check with an ohmeter. Therefore, timbreado is "ringing". By the way, this is a method used, as well, to identify specific wires in multiwire cables. So, I suggest insulation and continuity tests.
