Given that this is the past participle of inerte = inert. I agree with Luz, not that it's Spanglish but rather bad Spanish, given that in neither language does this p.p. exist! There's no beginning to your sentence so out of context I suggest the following:
de-activation of the new EQUIPO and modification /close-down of ../shut-down of...Note that the approriate word will depend on the EQUIPO in question.
