BY-PASS SWITCH Explanation: Good answer from "FJPN" and it could be the right one. However, I want to give you another possibility: "by-pass switches". This stems from personal experience with the word "puenteo" but I think you're pretty safe with the word "switch", either way. You may have to consult with your client to determine the exact function of these switches, i.e., whether they are to "jump" or "connect" something, or to "by-pass" something. Clients should be aware that we translators cannot possibly know "everything" and in my own experience, they usually appreciate queries from me ---something I believe denotes "professionalism" rather than just settling for "any old thing". Luck to ya:-) EURODIC + personal experience |
