withdraw my suggestion Explanation: On further investigation, I think my suggestion is off-base. There are numerous web sites in Spanish that mention "hormigón de limpieza" and it apparently isn't what I thought, nor do I have the English equivalent. Perhaps someone with experience in construction technology can come up with the answer. |

leveling concrete Explanation: El concreto u hormigón de limpieza (o nivelación) es una capa para emparejar la superficie, sobre la que luego debe colocarse el hormigón estructural. Así explica la Comisión Permanente del Hormigón, España: "¿El hormigón de limpieza debe tener una resistencia mínima de 25 N/mm2? La Instrucción de Hormigón Estructural (EHE) establece, en su apartado 30.5. que la resistencia de proyecto fck no será inferior a 20 N/mm2 en hormigones en masa, ni a a25 N/mm2" en hormigones armados o pretensados. No obstante, los comentarios al citado apartado aclaran que "los hormigones de nivelación o limpieza de excavaciones no se considerarán de naturaleza estructural y, por lo tanto, no está afectados por el valor de la resistencia mínima establecido en el articulado".
