Spanish term or phrase: cierre contable
This term is used in a manual for a credit card terminal (for store in-store purchases).
I am thinking of translating to "point of sale" or "closing of sale".
accounting deadline; closing of accounts.
This refers to a point in time assigned beforehand as "closing date/time" in accounting, which may be 1. for daily transactions (cierre contable a las 12:00 - banks) 2. monthly (for company invoicing) 3. quarterly (for tax purposes) or 4. yearly (for the annual report and related purposes).
