Spanish to English translations [PRO] Textiles / Clothing / Fashion / Shoes | | Spanish term or phrase: bajando la bandoleta/bandeleta | | Esta temporada sigue fiel a su espíritu, a su volumen anatómico, pero se ha trabajado en unas proporciones más ligeras bajando la bandoleta. I understand this should be bandeleta but I'm no nearer to a translation really. |

| | lowering the foxing | Explanation: I think this is the part called the foxing, the strip that runs around the shoe covering the join between the upper and the sole. The actual join is called the welt.
Foxing
A strip of rubber joining the upper and sole of a shoe. Typically found on canvas sneakers.

Foxing
Foxing is a rubber strip that joins together the upper portion of a shoe with the sole. Canvas shoes are a good example of those that use foxing. Foxing can be found in other styles as well, but canvas shoes are those that most commonly use foxing.
