Spanish term or phrase: Amparo

Sigo con la ropa mexicana, ahora me aparece este término, y no encuentro nada que suene razonable en este contexto. Imagino que puede estar relacionado con patentes, marcas... no sé.
Un poco de contexto:
"• Los modelos que van a ampararse deben ser de la misma tela que el evaluado (mismo contenido de fibra, tejido, peso, ligamento), mismo departamento, la misma técnica de estampado o teñido o acabado, de siluetas similares e instrucciones de cuidado
• Cada paquete puede amparar hasta 9 modelos, los cuales deben sen indicados en la solicitud de prueba como modelos amparados. Si sobrepasa la cantidad se tendrá que volver a llenar la solicitud de prueba únicamente con el número de modelo requerido en un paquete adicional.
• Los modelos a amparar tendrán que ser de la misma licencia, no se podrán amparar licencias combinadas debido al colorido que maneja cada una y propietarios de las mismas.
• Se podrán amparar hasta 9 modelos, debiendo analizar al menos 4 colores, siendo el tono más obscuro, el más claro y 2 intermedios. (...)"

Lo que estoy traduciendo es un procedimiento de calidad, no tiene que ver directamente con patentes, lo digo por si ayuda.

Maybe also coverage for amparo alone.

Amparo in the sense of abarcar, look at each time it appears and think abarcar.
