Spanish to English translations [PRO] Textiles / Clothing / Fashion | | Spanish term or phrase: transparrosa, tabaco | | These words appear in a list of colours - no context whatsoever. The garments are lingerie items. Tabacco doesn't sound very attractive for ladies' underwear so I was thinking of something like Honey brown, but I have absolutely no idea about "transparrosa". |

10 mins confidence: transpar.rosa (color transparente rosa- tabaco) = transparent rose and tabacco color
Explanation: hablando de colores se usa el teérmino frances tabac, (en griego también lo utilizamos este término para designar el color castaño muy claro)
| | | Notes to answerer
Asker: These are two separate colours. I know Tabacco is sometimes used but I don't like the use of it for lingerie items. "Transparrosa" seems to be some sort of natural, skin colour.

should really be as two questions, as two terms are involved

Yes, I was only mentioning the fact about 2 terms, as usually a moderator will point it out, as it's one of the "rules", to do with glossaries.
Beige is different from cream, though.

"natural" is also used as an alternative to "nude"

Asker: Rachael, yes perhaps I should have presented them as 2 separate questions but it means taking up more space and lots more entries in my "in tray". Thank you for the clarification of Transparrosa as blanco, tierra. All answers considered, I think I'm going to opt for something like Honey brown for the "Tabaco" colour and perhaps something like Light beige or Cream for the Transparrosa. I have seen these are frequently used for items of lingerie. Many thanks for your prompt response.
Asker: Rachael, Yes I know Cream is not the same as Beige, but I was thinking of presenting my client with these 2 possibilities and, depending on the shade, they could decide which was best. Lots to choose from now. Many thanks for your suggestions.
