All the suggestions so far seem to fir the bill for the between the asterisks bit, but I think your problem may lie in fact in how to express that it is both the new and the old which contain these ingredients. Perhaps a solution would be the "turn in around" approach:*the finest Mallorcan ingredients are the basis not only for the more traditional cuisine you can try here, but also for new gastronomic creations"
