driving hunters, in-waiting hunters
Explanation:
The text is referring to the method of hunting called "driving". In this hunting method two or more hunters try to move, or push the prey into other hunters who have been pre-positioned. The term for each hunter's position is "in waiting" if the hunter is static and "driving" he/she is moving. Sometimes the hunters trying to drive, or push the prey make noise to spook the deer into moving towards the hunters "in waiting". With this hunting method, the making of noise also lets the hunters "in waiting" know where they are for safety.

Series de armadas refers to "armies of men" or the hunters doing the driving and "líneas de puestos" or posts are the hunters in waiting.

I hope this helps
