Apparently, this can be done either in salt water, or in any "body of water"... see below

There are two types of deep sea fishing and they are chosen according to the school fish location:trolling fishing in which the boat is kept moving at a speed and bottom fishing when the boat stops in deep water , hooks are charged with downriggers which makes the line go down . This is definition of "pesca a fondo"

I think Carol and Nivia are right: Bottom fishing is the act of fishing the bottom of a body of water. A common rig for fishing on the bottom is a weight tied to the end of the line, and a hook about an inch up line from it. Bottom fishing can be both done from boats and from coasts. Bottom fishing can produce many fish, but is most productive at getting sucker fish, bream, catfish, and crappie (in the right conditions). Specialized fishing rods called donkas are also commonly used for bottom fishing.

Tipos de pesca: Pesca a fondo. Pesca con flotador, siendo este �ltimo m�s complicado por la corriente, debido a que en este punto el Guadalquivir sube y baja con las mareas como el mar.
Observaciones : Lugar muy dificil de pescar, debido a las fuertes corrientes de las mareas del Guadalquivir,recomendando la pesca a fondo y en algunos lugares que se encuentran m�s reservados de las corrientes la pesca con flotador.
