Safaris and excursions

collapsed, unbroken crater in the world/unbroken, collapsed crater in the world
Explanation:
I'm lucky enough to have been here many years ago and had the amazing experience of seeing the wildlife here. I remember how we went by jeep and had to follow road down and down, along the contour lines, so it seemed, for a very long way. It is just like a bowl or a cup which you have to slowly spiral downwards in order to reach the bottom.

-> I'd recommend the journey! Kenya is a beautiful country, and so are the people. I don't know about "caldera" in a tourist guide - correct, yes, but I'm thinking of all those people scratching their heads and those in the know saying "it's a ....crater!"

agree  moken: I feel caldera is more than fitting, but it's true, the term would beat many. ;O) ;O) I also spent a month travelling through Tanzania, years ago. I returned, but my heart stayed there, maybe forever. :O) :O)

-> Oh yes! You are right, you are so right! My first trip to Africa was to Kenya, and a second time was to Tanzania! My memory put the two together, hence my confusion. Must be my age!

agree  Carol Gullidge: I seem to remember that "caldera" was the accepted term on ProZ not long ago (but not absolutely certain about this)
