Spanish term or phrase: el destino consentido
Consentido is usually translated as spoiled in this context, but that would be quite awkward. Consentido has an affectionate tone in Mexican Spanish, whereas spoiled in English is decidedly negative.

This is the title of a travelogue and the destination is "spoiled" in the sense that it has been given so much by geography and history. The closest meaning here would be something like "pet," as in teacher's pet, but that doesn't work very well.

I feel the translation on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't seem to come up with the right match.

Sorry to be late getting back here, but the consensus of my Spanish-speaking children was "preferred" or "favorite," with the edge toward preferred. Thanks you.

Explanation:
consentir - according to Oxford Spn/Eng dictionary can be understood as 'to agree'

I think for the specific word you are looking for, (rather than the alternate meaning I provided) the word 'darling' would work nicely...perhaps?

The full sentence is not given but maybe it could be turned around to say that it is a destination blessed by its geographical features or something to this effect?
