Spanish term or phrase: articulándose

I have seen this use of "articular" before, but it doesn't seem to fit what any of my dictionaries tell me. Is it particular to Spain?

Explanation:
"showing up as" was what came to mind before seeing the context, but it´s not so far off.
Tempted to offer transmogrify, never get a chance to use it, but might cause indigestion in target reader!!
Mind you, the whole sentence could do with an overhaul couldn´t it, which might push towards another translation of this specific word.
