Spanish to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Tourism & Travel / Heraldry | | Spanish term or phrase: joya turística | Describing the coat of arms of the town of Lajas, Puerto Rico:
"...el ancla [representa] sus costas y la joya turística de La Parguera."
I need a CREATIVE solution here! I know what's meant. La Parguera, a fishing village within the municipality of Lajas, is blessed with a bioluminescent phenomenon that makes its Phosphorescent Bay a major tourist attraction. "A gem/jewel of a tourist attraction"? How do I fit it (or your suggestion) into the sentence? "The jewel in its touristic crown"? I have half a dozen other ideas, most of them gag-producing, and I have to send this translation in the next 4 hours or I don't get to watch the Oscars. Help! |

| | a tourist's dream, a gem of a tourist attraction | Explanation: En realidad lo que has puesto va muy bien, o la sugerencia de Yaotl, o incluso a tourist's dream. Es cosa de escoger. Suerte con los Oscares... Sería genial que Bardem se gane otro premio... |
