Explanation:
can´t find catonismo so just thought it might be a typo and the other activities seem to be water-related

agree  Deborah Lockett: "catonismo" is described in these two references http://www.somosccs.com/pdf/120.pdf http://ngenespanol.com/2007/12/31/quebec-2/ (plenty of references so spelling must be correct)

  -> Cheers Deborah - It was very late here when I looked and obviously wasn´t very thorough :-(

neutral  Rick Larg: There are in fact quite a few references to 'catonismo' on google.es; most would appear to hail from South/Latin America. However, I cannot find a site that tells me what it actually is, just that one can do it! You do need a life jacket and wetsuit

cascading

Explanation:
A possible alternative: leading on from Deborah Lockett's very useful references, I understand that 'catonism' is going up/down waterfalls, which seems to be termed 'cascading' in English in some places, although it is true that other sites lump it together in the same package as 'canyoning'.

Example sentence(s):
  • Canyoning is absolutely unforgettable experience that allows us to discover the wonders of nature by abseiling and jumping waterfalls, cascading down natural water slides, swimming through crystal clear pools and using flying fox.

Explanation:
There is a picture on this web site of the sport. Is this catonismo?
