-No sé cuál sería la mejor traducción de la frase de arriba. Dudo entre estos dos (más que nada es el uso del verbo “levantarse” que me da problemas:

In this place, the church of San Juan was erected (built) until the Napoleonic invasion, where Velázquez was buried with his wife, in 1660. (pero me suena demasiado literal)

or

Here/there stood the church of San Juan (or the San Juan Church) until the Napoleonic invasion, where Valezquez was buried... ?
