This is the heading of a paragraph. I obviously can´t give a literal translation here. I have a couple of ideas but would like a few others. I do want to keep the word 'emotions' in the heading.

No dejes que te lo expliquen, esto tienes que vivirlo tú mismo, siente toda la adrenalina que puedes descargar en las sorprendentes atracciones de (theme park) o deléitate con los espectáculos fascinantes que hemos preparado para ti.

Thanks Henry - I finally went for 'Let your emotions run wild'. And I do believe (contrary to what Carol has said) that 'emotions' is the correct word here. Please see a couple of examples here:

Carol Gullidge: I would love this except for the fact that "emotional roller coaster" has very negative (psychological) connotations; also, there is likely to be a real roller coaster in this theme park, so an emotional one might not sound too appealing :D

-> I don't think that the phrase is entirely negative; it simply refers to ups and downs, highs and lows; the fact that the context is a theme park makes the phrase more, rather than less, apt, IMO.

ormiston: I share Carol's bi-polar style reservations ! thank you - yes the roller coaster metaphor is nice but I still get negative 'mood swing' type connotations. Lisa wants more than thrills (awe, etc.) so my suggestion falls short

they're talking about adrenaline here, and emocion means excitement, so why insist on "emotions", which seems rather odd for a tourism text?

Hi Lisa: my experience with a lot of these tourism texts (French and Spanish) is that they use words that sound corny in English if translated directly. Would you really expect to see the word "emotions", with all its (often rather negative) connotations (anger, sorrow, etc) in an EN brochure, and bearing in mind that it doesn't automatically imply "excitement" in EN - which I'm sure is what they're getting at here. I often find that, for this reason, tourism texts need a lot of tweaking to make them not sound corny. Luckily, as long as the gist/overall picture is conveyed in a manner that's meaningful to the target audience, you can usually get away with changing the constructions quite a lot with these texts (more than average!) in a bid to make the TT readable - and appealing - in EN.

In fact, I think that the "happiness, excitement, nervousness etc" that you mention are ALL covered by one word: "thrills" - which, to my mind, sounds far more appealing than "emotions" - which can cover a multitude of sins.

Sorry, but I'm sticking to thrills, because, basically, "emotions" isn't a marketable commodity, whereas thrills and excitement are.
Debated the obvious "thrills and spills", but there again, that implies danger/potential injury...

Asker: Hi Carol - My feeling is that they do mean emotions here - especially as it's in the plural form (emociones) - happiness, excitement, nervousness etc that you might feel taking these rides.
