Spanish term or phrase: Conocen qué es lo que más valoran

This is an interview with the director of the Pamplona Convention Bureau which offers advice about destinations and helps companies choose the right venue etc.
for conventions.

Not sure what 'valoran' means here - value, appreciate or something else? And what does 'conocen' refer to? The person being interviewed, the companies? Just not sure how to word the question.

. ¿**Conocen qué es lo que más valoran** las empresas de Navarra y Pamplona para organizar un evento o congreso?

Pamplona y Navarra tienen una oferta competitiva muy variada que se adapta a las necesidades de cada congreso o evento. Disponemos de un Palacio de Congresos moderno y funcional, dotado de las más altas tecnologías, pero además existe un gran número de salas en hoteles, en centros de congresos y en universidades.
La planta hotelera navarra está en constante renovación y en los últimos años se han añadido los hoteles Nobles del Reyno, hoteles con encanto que ofrecen un servicio esmerado en diferentes localidades navarras. Pero probablemente, lo que más destacan las empresas son todos los aspectos que se refieren a la profesionalidad de las empresas y la gastronomía navarra, que se puede degustar en nuestros restaurantes, broche de oro para cualquier evento. El patrimonio, la naturaleza y el paisaje son otros aspectos muy bien valorados.

Do they know what they consider important?

Explanation:
I have a Spanish degree, and have lived in Valencia, Spain for study abroad. I believe that "conocen" refers to the companies because of how the sentence is worded in Spanish. Also, "value" or "appreciate" is certainly acceptable for "valoran", but I would say "consider important". I like to get a "feeling for" what is said in both language.

Explanation:
The director is asking a rhetorical question that he then goes on to answer. Later on he says "lo que más destacan las empresas," which translates in much the same way.
