Al menos en Colombia y sé que en muchos países de latinoamérica el concepto de "Tacita de Plata" no es de un objeto al que se quiere mucho ni que sea un juguete. Dejar algo como una "tacita de plata" es dejarlo muy limpio y sin olores (por aquello de la limpieza que se le puede dar a una tacita de plata)
No sé si la descripción "silver cup/goblet" tenga esa connotación de limpieza.

Como verá pues, ud puede tener su casa como una tacita de plata, limpia y sin malos olores porque todo lo sucio y podrido puede mantenerlo alejado de su entorno.

En conclusión no llaman a Cadiz la tacita de plata, porque la quieran mucho, o que sea muy bonita sino porque la consideran muy limpia. A no ser de que en España el concepto tenga una diferente connotación a la de Latinoamérica
