Spanish term or phrase: cierres
Árboles de altas copas sombrean esta ágora cuadrada a la que asoman edificios burgueses de estilo isabelino y tardo barroco, decorados con *cierres* y galerías de artísticas forjas y rematados por luminosas azoteas.
About Cádiz.
Thanks in advance.

decorated with artistic cast-iron balconies and window bars/grilles
Explanation:
I think the artísticas forjas applies to the galerias and the cierres, and an artistic cast-iron shutter does not seem right.

I suspect grilles fits better than bars, but see link

closed in balconies

Explanation:
This is how I read it, although it rather doubles up with "galerías".

railings

Explanation:
"wrought iron railings"

I agree with Lanna that it is unlikely to refer to shutters.

The LOS OLIVES HOTEL has a 3 star rating and is located right in Arcos de la Frontera town centre in the province of Cadiz. It is an old, typically Andalusian-style house that was built in 1912 and adapted to become a hotel in 1986. It was last refurbished in 2002. The hotel sleeps a total of 37 people.

Built in true local style, it has whitewashed walls, **wrought iron railings on the windows**, ochre-coloured roof tiles and a pretty central courtyard full of plant pots and decorated with chairs and coffee tables. Guests are served under palm trees and there is a lovely bar from where a stone well can be seen.

Vejer de la Frontera is a great example of what a typical Andalusian “white village” was like under the occupation of the Moors. Now, 7 centuries later, this incredilble town still preserves the atmosphere of that period. The quaint and pristine houses are painted with lime every year to retain their pure, white exterior. The layers spread on one after the other throughout the years has given a visual effect of cotton covering the walls. Among the pure shimmering, almost blinding whiteness of the buildings you can see distinguished balconies with **wrought iron railings**, flower-filled patios and brown-red roofs.

Among the civil constructions worth mentioning there is the Fuente de los Seis Caños, from the 18th century, as well as a series of stately houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, with lintelled doors and noble arms cut in stone, as well as the many samples of **iron railings** and balconies made with the hands of the expert forgers.

A truly picturesque and rustic hotel made up of an assortment of charming whitewashed buildings, surrounded by diverse countryside and situated within the Sierra de las Nieves nature reserve. This idyllic hotel is an authentic Andalusian experience with its striking surroundings made up of grey, rocky mounds, hills covered with pine trees and chestnuts and dotted with olive groves. The hotel itself is pure understated style with its whitewashed façades, dark wooden shutters and rustic furnishings. Sierra de las Nieves nature reserve is protected by UNESCO and categorised as a Biosphere Reserve. It is also a national hunting reserve.

The hotel is located in the very heart of the city, next to the port and close to all the shops and main tourist attractions. It is also just two km away from the beach and nine km from the airport. The rooms are medium in size and kept in exceptional condition along with the bathrooms. Rooms are simply decorated with light wooden furniture. The cafeteria is next to the hotel on the ground floor. This is a period building featuring arcades, balconies and shutters. The lobby is small with a...

SHUTTERS

Shutters are an ancient window treatment style even older than Riopelle Drapery itself. In fact some of the first documented window treatments found in ancient Greece were simple stone slabs, mounted on a pivot. The first shutters! You will find many of the windows in old European centres like Tuscany and Venice decorated with shutters. Valued for centuries, today plantation style shutters make up one of the fastest growing sectors of the window treatment industry.

Bedrooms and suites at the 5 Star G.L Hotel Barceló La Bobadilla are all elegantly decorated and provide the most modern comforts. Romantic beds, spotless white linen and a lot of wood create a distinguished and sensuous atmosphere. Big windows with wooden shutters provide for a breathtaking view of the countryside of Andalusia.
