Spanish term or phrase:senda de castro
Comments about the Canary Islands (don´t know which one).
Explanation: Just found this, which would appear to fit the description (the Rambla is an area, rather than a walk path in itself) V. shaky English, but check Google for pics and further details in Spanish.
THROUGH RAMBLA DE CASTRO
This is one of the most peculiar natural settings of the Canaries. The route starts in the viewpoint of San Pedro, coming from the Northern main road and from there it is seen a wonderful overall view of the area. From the viewpoint two roads split up. The first of them, on the left, roams along the line of the ancient royal road which ends in the coast, going across the hermitage of San Pedro, a building which dates from the XVIII century and from its terrace we can observe another majestic view of the coastline.
he return allows us the access to the second footpath, which we will find from the parking area, and in the direction to the coast. In the first turn there are nice panoramic views of the group of dwellings and those of Las Ramblas del Mar and Babón. The following crossing of the road, taking the deviation from the right, which leads to one of the most beautiful palm trees of Tenerife, in the central point of the ravine of Castro and at scarcely some metres from its country estate.

Hi Neil - the spelling, punctuation, etc are dire in this text, which is a list of comments from your average person in the street (mostly from the Canaries).
Could this be a proper name? Senda de Castro? I haven't managed to find this on Google, but El Socorro is a place in northern Tenerife, and the writer hasn't capitalised this either.

Explanation: It can be called route or path that is what I think when you read many travel or tourism books they mention routes or path. Depends what the person who asked for the translation prefers.

the Senda de Castro footpath
Explanation: I'd leave it untranslated but add the word footpath, as most people won't know what senda means.
