Here's the context

"Y dado que la globalización ha igualado las distancias, el éxito de un proyecto"

Well, thanks to all 8 answerers on this - and I thought it was a dumb question. I liked Robert's 'reduced' and Deborah's 'evened out' but finally decided to give points for David's 'has made distance less of a factor' because in the end, I used 'has made distances less important'.

Thanks once again!
Simon

neutral  Carol Gullidge: I'm afraid I agree with Simon - that this doesn't sound right :(.... (sounds as though globalisation has matched distances)
17 mins

agree  margaret caulfield: To me, this sounds just fine given the context (but "since" and not "granted"). More context would definitely help though.
