Spanish to English translations [PRO] Marketing - Tourism & Travel | | Spanish term or phrase: rotaciones carteras | "hemos estado negociando con empresas como [abc] para armar unos ROTACIONES CARTERAS entre [aeropuerto x] y [aeropuerto y]. Nuestra idea es ver cuántos vuelos semanales tendríamos de [aeropuerto x] a [aeropuerto z] para tratar de armar un chárter semanal del [aeropuerto z] a [aeropuerto y]"
this is a dialogue between tourist/travel agencies based in Mexico. I know the term represents a financial indicator which in Kudos Glossary is listed as "debtor day", but given the context it doesn't seem to make much sense. I was wondering if there was any other meaning for "rotaciones carteras".

| | charter rotations (cartero = "de chárter") | Explanation: "charter" in English is "carta" in Spanish, as well as "chárter", so logically the Spanish could use "cartero" as an adjective for the Spanish noun "chárter" |

6 hrs confidence: rotation portfolio
Explanation: 1) La rotación de cartera es un indicador financiero que determina el tiempo en que las cuentas por cobrar toman en convertirse en efectivo, o en otras palabras, es el tiempo que la empresa toma en cobrar la cartera a sus clientes.
2) Rotation: An investment strategy in which a portfolio overweights or underweights certain sectors in accordance with expected performance. Rotation is a form of active investment management; the portfolio manager observes market trends and alters the composition of the portfolio in order to earn the highest possible return. Rotation is fairly high risk, as a portfolio's systematic overweighting and underweighting means that it is not efficiently diversified. See also: Markowitz portfolio theory.
