Spanish term or phrase:turismo de reuniones
Turismo de reuniones aparece repetidas veces en un texto promocional. El producto que se está vendiendo es precisamente ese tipo de turismo y se señalan las ventajas de la ciudad para desarrollar ese turismo.
Lo he visto alternativamente como "meetings tourism" y "conference tourism".
Pero estoy dudando sobre cuál es el término más aceptado a nivel global en el sector de viajes y turismo, que es adonde va dirigido el texto.

Agrego: lo he visto como conference tourism en el glosario de proz, pero a su vez lo he visto y oído muchas veces como meetings tourism.
Por eso mi pregunta que va dirigida a los expertos en el campo global de "travel and tourism."

I have translated material in the past for the "Meetings Industry" and this was the term used, as it incorporates all types of 'meetings' - seminars, congresses, etc.

2) Reuniones y eventos corporativos (lanzamiento de productos o marcas, convenciones de empresas...) Business tourism
3) Eventos especiales (se incluyen eventos deportivos y culturales). Special events tourism.
Entiendo las diferencias, pero el texto me confunde ya que quiere abarcar cosas diferentes. ¿Cuál sería el mejor término para este caso? Algo como Conference and Special Events Tourism?? So far, muchísimas gracias por la ayuda.

Se trata de que por ejemplo la empresa ABC organiza que su personal de Londres, París y Roma viaje a San Sebastián para tener reunión de negocios y también disfrutar de la Bahía de la Concha y de la vida cultural de la ciudiad (Museo Guggenheim...) Se trata de meetings --- conferences son otra cosa porque participan personas de todo el mundo, no de una misma empresa.
Precisamente mi duda era porque pensé que meetings (se usa en plural?) abarcaba más tipos de eventos: conferencias, congresos, seminarios, simposios, convenciones, reuniones, eventos de tipo social, etc... como es el caso de este texto promocional. Pero por lo que dice Simon veo que conference es lo que todo el mundo acepta para estos casos.
Es cuestión de uso. Aunque el evento a que asistes sea otro tipo de reunión, se dice "conference tourism" o "conference travel". Por otra parte, es poco usual usar 'meeting' para describir un congreso.
