Bus/Financial - Tourism & Travel | | Spanish term or phrase: tarifa opaca | This is part of a hotel's info about their 'best price guarantee'. If the client finds a room price lower than the one they have booked with the hotel, then the hotel will match that lower price. But there are exceptions to this, which they mention below in reference to the 'lower price' found.
I was thinking about using 'hidden rate' here but not 100% sure that this is the correct term to use. It's the hotel the person does not know, rather than the rate.

The inventory is called "opaque" because the specific supplier (i.e. hotel, airline, etc) remain hidden until after the purchase has been completed.

The opaque rate model is so called because travelers book the discounted rate knowing only the star rating, amenities and location of the property. The name of the hotel is revealed only after the room purchase is made.
