Spanish term or phrase: cocina en vivo "Show Cooking"
From a Spanish hotel brochure: "Restaurante con aire acondicionado que dispone de buffet frío y caliente con COCINA EN VIVO "SHOW COOKING" y Rincón de Pastas..." I suppose that "rincón de pastas" is like a counter providing pasta, but I don't have a clue about the first part.

show cooking
Explanation:
As odd as it sounds (to me at least), the term they gave you in English (show cooking) is apparently used, especially in the hotel environment. Here are some refs.

Experience the fun of Teppanyaki - a traditional form of show cooking, featuring fresh seafood, meat and vegetables. Kabuki also offers an authentic Japanese a la carte menu.

The establishment has a long bar that runs almost the entire length of the dining area with two recently installed plasma TV screens playing sports hanging behind it, and contains eight or nine teppanyaki tables (teppanyaki is the style of "show cooking" where the chef prepares the food on a heated grill in front of the diners).

The free classes treated consumers to a touch of “show cooking,”
cheese and wine tasting, recipe tasting, recipe handouts, and
prizes.

The description reads:
QUOTE
Critics have raved about the superior quality of the food served at this restaurant which specializes in Northern Chinese, Hunan, and Szechuan
cuisine. Located in the Greenway Town Center, you are definitely stepping out of "strip mall" ambiance into a quiet, tastefully decorated
establishment when you enter Wu's. The most distinctive element of the site is the open kitchen where you can watch expert chefs at work
preparing superb meals. Try General Tso's chicken and the five flavor prawns.

cocina en vivo
open kitchen

Explanation:
You have an air conditioned restaurant with hot and cold buffets, open kitchen, and a pasta bar [or Pasta Bar]...

See all of these examples of "open kitchen" restaurant designs:

Also of pasta bars, very common at Sunday brunches:

An open kitchen \"shows\" the cooking, which is why it is a special feature. One could have a \"cooking show\", as the Benihana restaurant chain is famous for, but that\'s not the same as \"show cooking\".
