En una descripcion de un hotel es uno de los servicios pero no tengo ni idea de como se dice en ingles. Evidentemente es 'hilo musical en las habitaciones'.

agree  Tatty: In my Collins hilo musical is background music. In Spain everyone knows what an hilo musical is, you'd have a hard time finding anyone that knew what piped music was in England. I'd use background music.

  -> my Collins (the big one, from 2000) has piped music, as Nikki said. In any case, I'd use background music in a public place (like in a restaurant). I don't think it fits when it's in the guest rooms.
