These are two parties in a stock-takeover acquisition deal. I believe that "adquirida" would be "acquiree" but I seek confirmation and also wonder what "notificante" would be. Here's a sentence where both appear, describing business operations:

Se trata de productos que la adquirida vende a través de agentes y distribuidores. La notificante señala que el precio de los productos no se tiene en cuenta al fijar el precio de XXXX, dado que los productos no son sustitutivos.

agree  bigedsenior: 'acquired' would be more appropriate than 'purchased'. It could have been acquired by a stock swap or some other means.
